Terms of Use

Last updated May 12, 2026. These terms explain how coaches, clubs, and invited users may use IDP Engine.

1. Using IDP Engine

IDP Engine helps youth soccer coaches and clubs create Individual Development Plans through coach setup, player reflection, coach review, and AI-assisted drafting. It should be used only for legitimate coaching and player-development purposes.

IDP Engine is coach/club-led. It is not a child-self-serve app, and player interview links should be sent only as part of an appropriate coach, club, parent, or guardian process.

2. Coach Review Required

Generated IDPs are drafts. Coaches are expected to review, edit, and take responsibility for any plan before it is shared with a player, parent, guardian, or club stakeholder.

3. Player And Family Data

Coaches and clubs are responsible for using IDP Engine only when they have an appropriate parent, guardian, club, or registration-based consent path for the player involved.

U13-and-under players require explicit parent/guardian action before the player interview starts, because U13 teams can include 12-year-old players. The player understanding screen is player assent; it is not a full parent/guardian consent workflow by itself.

See the Privacy page for data handling, retention, provider, and request information.

4. Appropriate Use

IDP Engine is not a tryout, scouting, selection, medical, psychological, or disciplinary system. Do not use it to harass, shame, label, or harm a player, or to make decisions outside normal development planning.

5. Accounts And Access

Coaches are responsible for safeguarding their account credentials, player links, and manual PINs. Player interview links should only be sent to the intended player, parent, or guardian.

6. Data Requests

Privacy, access, correction, or deletion requests should be sent to hello@idpengine.com. IDP Engine may ask for enough context to identify the relevant player, coach, club, requester, and requester relationship before taking action.

7. Billing

Paid plans are billed through the IDP Engine billing provider at the price and renewal period shown at checkout or in a written agreement. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.

Coaches or clubs can cancel through the billing portal or by contacting IDP Engine. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically refund the current billing period.

Refunds are handled case by case. IDP Engine may refuse refunds for misuse, completed billing periods, or accounts that violated these terms.

8. Contact

Questions about these terms or product use can be sent through the contact page.
